-
Teaching clear communication

Creating calm routines at home
-
Building reliable obedience through structure
This option is ideal for:
-
Jumping
-
Leash pulling

Recall issues
-
Mild anxiety or reactivity
-
Household behavior challenges
Private coaching emphasizes owner education, so progress continues between sessions.
Canine Behavior Immersion (Board & Train)
Our Canine Behavior Immersion Programs are designed for dogs who need intensive structure, behavior modification, and real-world reliability.
Dogs live in a structured environment where we focus on:
-
Emotional regulation
-
Calm behavior under stress
-
Obedience layered onto stability
-
Environmental exposure and generalization
This program is ideal for:
-
Anxiety or fear-based behaviors
-
Reactivity to dogs or people
-
High arousal or impulsivity
-
Lack of structure at home
-
Owners needing a full reset
Every Board & Train includes a guided owner transfer process, ensuring results carry over once your dog returns home.
Programs are customized following an in-person evaluation.
IN-HOME EVALUATION
All training begins with an in-person evaluation.
This allows us to:
-
Observe your dog’s behavior and stress levels
-
Understand your daily routine and goals
-
Identify root causes, not just symptoms
-
Recommend the most effective training path
Evaluations are the foundation of successful training and ensure the right plan for both dog and owner.
BEHAVIOR MODIFICATION
Addressing the Root Cause — Not Just the Symptoms
At K9 Learning Academy, behavior modification is not about forcing compliance or teaching commands in isolation. It is about understanding why a behavior exists, what emotional state is driving it, and how to create lasting change through science-based behavioral psychology.
Many problem behaviors—reactivity, anxiety, aggression, fear, or impulsivity—are not training issues. They are emotional and neurological responses shaped by genetics, environment, learning history, and stress.
That’s where behavior modification differs from traditional dog training.
